Making the most of your lunch hour
Do you have a tendency to fritter away your lunch hour sitting at your desk, mindlessly scrolling through your phone or flicking through the internet? If so, then you need to add a bit more structure to your hour and end the monotony!
In an office job, it is the perfect time to relax and recharge, and to have you ready for your afternoon work. It can also help you avoid the dreaded and unproductive afternoon slump. It’s easy to make the most of your lunch hour with these little tips.
Hit the gym
If you know that you can never get up early enough to hit the gym before work, or are always making excuses for why you can’t go afterwards, then hit the gym during your lunch hour. If you’ve got a gym nearby, do a 45 minute session, quick shower, bite to eat and then back at your desk, and all within the hour. It is a great way to boost your energy levels and will keep you feeling bright and awake too.
Dine out with workmates
Instead of slumping over your desk to eat your lunch, why not dine out with your workmates. Lots of places over lunchtime specials which you can easily take advantage of. And if you’re on a budget, then mention eating at the park when the weather is nice. It is the perfect way to unwind, and out of the office.
Run your errands
Or you can always choose to be a bit productive during your lunch hour, and get all of those pesky errands that you never have time for out of the way. With a freezer box, you can do your groceries, or hit the shops that are never open by the time you’ve finished work.
Don’t waste away your lunch hour – your time is precious after all.
